Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, and own robust, scalable infrastructure for menu operations, driving the xPS migration in the US market.
  • •Translate Food Systems business needs into scalable backend engineering solutions across squads.
  • •Define and drive best practices for model serving, APIs, and system design across squads.
  • •Lead cross-squad technical initiatives from architecture decisions through hands-on implementation.
  • •Ensure production services are performant, observable, and maintainable, while contributing to engineering standards and mentoring engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of backend engineering experience with a strong foundation in Python, Kotlin, and Go.
  • •Experience making architectural decisions for large-scale distributed systems and integrations with applications and user interfaces.
  • •Advanced experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native architectures, including production operations at scale.
  • •Deep understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and microservices architecture.
  • •Experience using AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) in your regular workflow.
