Key Responsibilities

  • •Ingest security telemetry into Elasticsearch from cloud provider audit logs, identity/SaaS activity, and endpoint/asset data via third-party and cloud APIs.
  • •Maintain Elastic Cloud on Kubernetes clusters by monitoring and upgrading versions/builds, managing capacity and shards, configuring ILM, and enabling cross-cluster search.
  • •Use Terraform to manage cloud infrastructure and Elasticsearch resources including pipelines, index templates, and alerts; deploy scheduled ingest jobs with Kubernetes and Helm.
  • •Apply AI automation and tooling to reduce toil through self-healing jobs, health checks, alerting, internal CLIs, and AI/agent-assisted workflows.
  • •Ensure security data quality and reliability by monitoring flow, backfills, schema consistency, field consistency, and controlling costs.

Key Requirements

  • •Operate Elastic and Elasticsearch in production, including ingest pipelines, index templates, mappings, and queries, while keeping clusters healthy and upgraded.
  • •Experience with ECK or Elasticsearch on Kubernetes is strongly preferred.
  • •Build and integrate data ingestion using REST APIs, handling authentication, pagination, rate limiting, concurrency, and error handling.
  • •Deploy and operate Kubernetes workloads (scheduled jobs, Helm charts, operators) and troubleshoot pods/jobs in a cluster.
  • •Use Terraform to manage cloud and Elasticsearch resources as code.
