Job Summary

Join WSP as a CEI Senior Inspector for major highway and bridge projects in the Orlando area. You will interpret plans, conduct inspections, perform materials testing per FDOT standards, maintain precise records, and verify contractor work against contract documents while ensuring safety and environmental compliance. Collaborate with the Florida Construction Management Team on long-term transportation projects, using field tools and reports to support accurate payments and progress.

Key Responsibilities

•Interpret plans and perform independent technical assignments to ensure inspection and monitoring of construction activities on roadway and bridge construction projects.
•Verify that construction activities are performed according to the contract documents, including specifications, plans, standard plans, permits, policies and procedures.
•Perform materials testing using hand tools, gauges and/or instruments in accordance with FDOT requirements and scope of services.
•Use various engineering tools, equipment, instruments, and computers for performing technical tasks, problem solving and record keeping.
•Maintain detailed accurate records of operations and significant events: Complete and enter Daily Work Reports into client's database.

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma or equivalent
•7+ years of relevant construction inspection experience
•Knowledge of concepts, terminology and principles of road and bridge construction
•Highly familiar with construction inspection principles, field inspection practices, process, methods and techniques
•Highly familiar with relevant construction codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements
