Key Responsibilities

  • •Responsible for printed circuit board (PCB) designs from conception through manufacturing.
  • •Create PCB, circuit card assembly (CCA), and schematic drawings for suppliers.
  • •Perform schematic capture, component placement, trace routing, and Gerber/ODB++ file creation.
  • •Design rigid, flex, and rigid-flex assemblies, including full designs, re-spins, and drawing updates/change notices/copper changes.
  • •Interface daily with multiple engineering disciplines to ensure overall design requirements are captured with cost, cycle time, and producibility in mind.

Key Requirements

  • •Typically requires a STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics).
  • •5+ years of experience including at least two of: PCB/CCA manufacturing principles, electrical design process, or laying out rigid/flex/rigid-flex boards.
  • •Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
  • •Working knowledge of PCB design for RF/power/mixed-signal technologies including multi-layer and HDI technology.
  • •Export manufacturing data in Gerber and ODB++ formats and use design for manufacturing/design rule checking tools (e.g., Valor NPI).
