Job Summary

We are seeking an Intermediate Construction Materials Engineer to support our Charlotte or Asheville, NC offices. You will perform soils, reinforced concrete, and masonry testing, interpret project procedures for compliance, interact with client representatives at sites, and prepare timely field reports. You’ll also assist with project management tasks, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and uphold safety standards to support Earth & Environment projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform testing and special inspections related to soils, reinforced concrete, and masonry on general building sites and facilities
•Interpret and monitor work procedures as per project plans and specifications for compliance with project requirements
•Interact with client representatives at project sites
•Prepare and submit written field reports summarizing daily activities/observations in a timely manner
•Support project management tasks such as scheduling, reports review, budget tracking, invoicing, proposal writing and business development

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
•1-3+ years of Construction Materials Testing experience
•Engineer Intern (EI) or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
•ACI Field Level I certification (concrete sampling and field testing)
•Valid Driver’s License and Good driving History
