Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist patients with non-clinical needs to ensure comfort and a clean, comfortable environment.
  • •Assist with pre-operative skin preparation if required and provide portering services such as transporting patients between units.
  • •Collect and return medical record files from departments and assist with administrative duties (e.g., photocopying).
  • •Transport specimens to the Laboratory and ensure correct infection control protocols are followed when handling instruments.
  • •Escort and guide patients, families, and visitors to departments, support discharge belongings/vehicle escort, and attend mandatory trainings/complete annual competencies.

Key Requirements

  • •Good command of oral and written English; spoken Arabic advantageous.
  • •Ability to work flexible shifts and rotate shifts to meet unit requirements.
  • •Demonstrate correct infection control practices and follow infection control protocols when transporting soiled/clean items.
  • •Ability to multitask, communicate well with others, and work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • •Demonstrate knowledge and practice of confidentiality policy and adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
