Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform troubleshooting, tear-down, repair, refurbishment, overhaul, assembly, testing, and installation of designated electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment.
  • •Support preventive and corrective maintenance on FAA and interagency systems in accordance with local and FAA policy and procedures.
  • •Conduct equipment performance analyses, collect/record engineering data, and compile/present systems data and logistics support information.
  • •Carry out equipment adjustment, testing, and certification processes, including installation of equipment/modifications and handling of NAVAID antenna and components.
  • •Travel for field work (up to 70%), perform tower work at heights over 50 feet (up to 750 feet), including rope work, lifting/carrying, and related equipment operation.

Key Requirements

  • •Associate degree in electrical or engineering technology and completion of formal technical training courses for level II.
  • •Successful completion of a physical fitness evaluation with specified weight restrictions (minimum 125 lbs, maximum 290 lbs).
  • •Practical experience in an engineering technician support position, including troubleshooting, repairing, assembling, testing, and installing electrical and mechanical systems and equipment.
  • •Ability to assist with engineering documentation/processes and with developing, reviewing, revising, and interpreting technical documents.
  • •NACI Clearance—ability to obtain Public Trust.
