Key Responsibilities

  • •Build Alpaca’s advisory-suite services to meet user expectations for quality and performance.
  • •Design and architect the platform across distributed systems in a small team.
  • •Write production code and make critical decisions to deliver the best customer experience.
  • •Apply deep knowledge of frontend/backend, databases, and distributed system abstractions for high availability.
  • •Develop and optimize low-latency, high-throughput systems for robust concurrency and scalability.

Key Requirements

  • •System design skills including object-oriented data modeling and service-oriented architectures.
  • •Strong software engineering experience with prior senior-level experience preferred.
  • •Coding skills across low- and high-level languages such as C/C++, Go, Zig, Rust, Java, Scala, or Python.
  • •Experience building low-latency, high-throughput systems with databases and concurrency control.
  • •Experience with messaging queues/message brokers and with Order Management Systems (OMS) and/or high-loaded financial transactional systems.
