Job Summary

Join SpaceX’s Starlink production team as an Injection Molding Technician on the 2nd shift. You will maintain and optimize fully automated injection molding equipment on the manufacturing floor, document process settings, participate in DoE and parameter optimization, and collaborate with design engineering to define requirements, ensuring production goals for quality and efficiency across Starlink components.

Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

•Install, commission, and validate intelligent equipment to support injection molding applications
•Participate in process development of the injection molding process through parameter optimization, design of experiments, and trials that will lead to a robust process
•Oversee operator instructions, critical parameters, checklists, and training materials for all molding operations
•Update special equipment service manuals including BOMs, drawings, and wiring schematics
•Recommend needed processes, technical expertise, and tooling for optimization of production runs; work closely with product design engineering teams to define requirements

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalency
•1+ years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment (high pressure die casting, CNC machining, stamping, injection molding, etc.) or other skilled trade supporting manufacturing
•3+ years plastic injection molding experience in a production environment
•Experience with highly automated injection molding cells and Engel brand machines
•Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits and electronic systems, motors & starters, and make repairs/modifications
