Key Responsibilities

  • •Own critical, high-traffic authentication and authorization systems end to end, from design through rollout, operations, and iteration.
  • •Design and deliver credential and access decision systems, including low-latency, security-guaranteed authorization and multi-region resilience.
  • •Build and maintain a first-class identity model for humans, service accounts, and agents, integrated across organization and cloud contexts.
  • •Drive enterprise authentication and admin controls such as SSO/SCIM setup, login policies and recovery, and self-service allowlisting.
  • •Set technical direction and collaborate with product, security, and infrastructure teams on 0-to-1 platform problems and live system migrations.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years building and operating backend or platform systems at scale, ideally including identity, authentication, authorization, or security-adjacent infrastructure.
  • •Experience with OAuth 2.0/OIDC and/or SAML/SCIM, plus token and credential concepts such as JWTs and token exchange.
  • •Experience with policy engines (e.g., Cedar or OPA) and/or RBAC/resource-level access control models.
  • •Comfort owning large migrations in live, high-traffic systems, including incremental rollouts and retirement of legacy paths.
  • •Strong reliability and security mindset, including designing for on-call, failure modes, and revocation.
