Key Responsibilities

  • •Performs routine maintenance to radar infrastructure using trades such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, HVAC and electrical work
  • •Replaces batteries, prepares equipment for painting, cuts grass, trims, sprays herbicides, tests fire alarm systems and emergency lighting, and brazes ground screen and radial wires
  • •Assists tradesmen with electrical and HVAC work and supports related duties as assigned
  • •Maintains safety and regulatory compliance while working on a DoD facility
  • •Coordinates with site leadership to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks

Key Requirements

  • •HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. GED) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • •At least three years of practical experience assisting in electrical, HVAC, and buildings/grounds maintenance
  • •Within 12 months of hire, qualify as a Virginia Certified Pesticide Applicator (Registered Technician) and EPA certification to handle refrigerants (CAA Section 608 Type I and II)
  • •Must have a clean motor vehicle driving record to obtain authorization to drive company vehicles
  • •U.S. citizenship is required and ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. government DoD Secret clearance
