Job Summary

Deliver workplace health, safety and HazMat solutions for clients within WSP’s Earth & Environment team. You’ll recognize and measure occupational exposures, advise on hazard control strategies, conduct asbestos and hazardous material audits, analyze data and prepare technical reports, and support small to medium projects including proposals—while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and SHEQ requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Recognise and measure workplace exposures affecting worker health from chemicals, pathogens, vibration, noise, and other contaminants.
•Provide advice on hazard control strategies including respirators and ventilation, contamination remediation, and training.
•Conduct asbestos and hazardous material audits in commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and residential properties.
•Analyse data, interpret results, and prepare technical reports, guidance documents, and training materials.
•Support delivery of small to medium-sized projects, contribute to proposals, and ensure work is completed on time and within budget.

Key Requirements

•Ideally a degree or diploma in Applied Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
•Asbestos Assessor License or relevant experience to obtain.
•Demonstrated experience in occupational hygiene or a related field such as chemistry, microbiology or human health.
•Hands-on experience in hazard identification, exposure monitoring and risk assessment.
•Experience using air sampling equipment and interpreting results (e.g. dust, fibres, asbestos).
