  • •Own the technical implementation plan between tax domains and the indirect tax calculation service.
  • •Translate indirect tax requirements into engineering-buildable requirements and acceptance criteria that hold up under audit.
  • •Define scope, sequencing, critical paths, and what ships when across integrations; assess downstream impact quickly when teams slip.
  • •Influence and prioritize tax work onto other engineering/product roadmaps, defending it when priorities shift.
  • •Define testing, monitoring, rollout, go/no-go and rollback criteria, including runbooks, alerting, and steady-state ownership; maintain an integrated source-of-truth plan and manage the risk register with recommendations.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years in a corporate tax department, public accounting, or technology consulting.
  • •Global or multi-country indirect tax implementation experience, including familiarity with non-US indirect tax regimes.
  • •Hands-on experience implementing Marketplace Facilitator laws across jurisdictions.
  • •Program or project management experience across multiple dependent engineering teams, including building plans, milestones, and dependency maps.
  • •Direct engagement with engineering teams on product development, with working knowledge of software development processes and how to validate designs for correctness.
