Key Responsibilities

  • •Monitor water treatment equipment parameters and operate water wells, lift stations, towers, and auxiliary equipment.
  • •Perform preventive maintenance and repairs for the wastewater/water treatment systems.
  • •Make adjustments to Water Plant, Lift Station, and Pool equipment with Water Operator of Records approval while following operation guidelines.
  • •Respond to water and wastewater callouts and emergency repair calls to restore operation.
  • •Maintain daily logs and paperwork and advise the Utility Supervisor and Water Operator of Record on system status.

Key Requirements

  • •3 years of experience in water production/treatment operations and sewer lift stations.
  • •Ability to troubleshoot panels, motors, pumps, chemical treatment system, and electrical systems.
  • •Class D or higher Water Certification issued by the Mississippi Health Department.
  • •State issued driver’s license; commercial license with hazmat is highly desirable.
  • •Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite and other software systems.
