Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate planning, execution, testing, and sustainment of wired network functionality with base counterparts and internal teams.
  • •Perform and guide end-to-end fiber optic testing using OTDR, power meters, and other tools; troubleshoot issues that halt progression.
  • •Provide guidance on equipment/infrastructure maintenance and recommend solutions based on equipment assessments; update network as-built documentation.
  • •Support project delivery by communicating with stakeholders, assisting with design/installation/base access coordination, and leading small implementation teams or specific work scopes.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of related DS engineering experience, ideally in DOW/IT upgrade projects.
  • •BA/BS degree.
  • •Ability to obtain and maintain an interim Secret clearance (Secret).
  • •Familiarity with distribution systems (ISP/OSP) design and implementation documentation (e.g., design documentation, as-built diagrams, rack elevations).
  • •Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, documents, and government regulations.
