Job Summary

Lead analytical chemistry and materials characterization to support digital print applications, applying chemical and materials science principles to ink performance, reliability, and manufacturing behavior. Bridge formulation development, experimental characterization, and manufacturing problem solving, with independent work, data-driven decision making, and opportunities to assume technical leadership or project ownership in cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Apply analytical and materials characterization techniques to understand ink and raw material behavior, meeting performance, quality, and regulatory requirements.
•Contribute to development, optimization, and sustainment of ink formulations with opportunities to take on increased formulation ownership.
•Lead analytical analysis investigations into ink-related development and manufacturing issues, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
•Partner with ink manufacturing, R&D, and laboratory teams to support process development, scale-up readiness, qualification activities, and technology introduction.
•Represent the formulation and materials characterization function in cross-functional projects, potentially acting as technical or project lead for complex initiatives.

Key Requirements

•PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or a related field.
•Typically, 5+ years of experience in analytical chemistry or material characterization, ideally in ink or materials development within an industrial environment.
•Strong foundation in chemical formulation principles, with strong experimental design and data interpretation.
•Experience applying analytical, experimental, or characterization methods to understand chemical or materials systems in R&D or manufacturing contexts.
•Ability to apply techniques in Chromatography, Spectroscopy, Elemental Analysis, Thermal measurement, or Particle Size & Physical measurement tools.
