Job Summary

Support AECOM’s Building Engineering team in planning, design, monitoring, and inspection of HVAC and energy-efficient mechanical systems. Assist with heating, cooling, and ventilation demand management, help evaluate and inspect HVAC performance for compliance, and contribute to proposals, progress reports, and technical findings. Work with multidisciplinary teams across sectors like Defence, data centres, space, commercial, hospitals, highways, rail/metro, and airports.

•Assist in managing and designing heating, cooling, and ventilation demands, and energy-efficient HVAC systems using sustainable solutions.
•Support the evaluation and inspection of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with standards.
•Help develop proposals, progress reports, and technical findings for clients and stakeholders.
•Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to contribute to project objectives.

Key Requirements

•Be in your penultimate year of a Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering.
•Able to work full-time hours from mid November 2026 to mid February 2027.
•Must hold Australian citizenship and be eligible to obtain the required Defence Security Clearance for this role.
•Strong communication and teamwork skills.
•Curious, proactive, adaptable, and committed to professionalism and integrity.
