Job Summary

Build and own TikTok’s search engine, combining information retrieval with modern ML methods across NLP, computer vision, multimodal understanding, and recommender systems. You’ll be responsible for Search Top-1 Card and AI Assistant experiences, using conversational context and chat memory to deliver personalized, authentic results. Lead end-to-end AI agent system delivery, improve models and pipelines via A/B tests and canary launches, and establish evaluation frameworks and RAG/personalized memory capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead end-to-end delivery of AI agent applications, from offline MVP prototyping to production-grade closed-loop systems, including data pipelines, workflow architectures, service execution, and observability.
•Drive algorithmic and strategic optimizations tied to business objectives through offline batch runs, A/B testing, and online canary deployments.
•Build end-to-end quality validation for data processing, reasoning, and generation, including offline evaluation frameworks and automated assessment pipelines.
•Iterate and optimize intelligent capabilities such as multi-step reasoning, RAG, and personalized memory systems, and expand them across business scenarios.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree or above in a computer-related major with excellent coding ability and strong proficiency in C++/Python plus data structures and algorithms.
•Proficiency in C++/Python with strong command of algorithms and data structures (e.g., retrieval, graph algorithms).
•Basic understanding of LLM fundamentals including prompt engineering and fine-tuning workflows.
•Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering technical projects.
•Preferred: Hands-on experience with LLM/Agent technologies such as RAG optimization, RLHF/SFT, or agent framework development (planning/memory modules).
