•Build Mercury’s integration with an FFIEC-approved bank core and connections to payment networks.
•Design internal APIs that provide product teams simple, consistent interfaces to complex external systems.
•Manage enterprise integration challenges including retries, failures, format mismatches, and downtime.
•Build data pipelines to keep Mercury systems in sync with the bank core.
•Own monitoring, alerting, and recovery for critical external connections and partner with other teams to define reliable contracts.

•7+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating backend infrastructure and distributed systems at scale.

•Product-minded approach—designing APIs with developers as consumers in mind.
•Comfort with the tech stack (Haskell) or readiness to learn it.
