Key Responsibilities

  • •Monitor security events and alerts from sources like SIEM/endpoint detection/SASE, analyze for potential incidents, and lead response activities (investigation through recovery).
  • •Develop and maintain incident response plans, playbooks, and procedures; coordinate with cross-functional teams during incidents and perform root-cause analysis with preventive recommendations.
  • •Manage and maintain SecOps tooling (SIEM, EDR, SASE), evaluate new security technologies, and implement automation scripts/workflows to improve security operations.
  • •Leverage GCP services to host and automate security scripts and tools for event enrichment and response, and use data processing/enrichment services for analysis.
  • •Conduct threat research, develop threat detection rules and use cases, support compliance standards (e.g., HITRUST/NIST/GDPR), and prepare security reports; participate in on-call rotation.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 130,600 - 170,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor of Science degree (BS) in Computer Science (or a related field).
  • •7+ years in cybersecurity with a strong focus on incident response, or 3+ years in security operations with hands-on SOAR and automation tools.
  • •Deep knowledge of security concepts and experience with security monitoring tools (e.g., SIEM, EDR), including configuration and administration.
  • •Proven experience leading and coordinating incident response processes and methodologies.
  • •Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Go), with Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, Ansible) and/or strong desire to learn.
