Key Responsibilities

  • •Optimize flotation circuits to achieve target recovery and concentrate grade by monitoring daily performance and closing performance gaps.
  • •Provide technical support to the operations team to maintain optimum plant performance, including conducting hot floats and interpreting results.
  • •Troubleshoot poor recovery and concentrate grade using audits, data analysis, and laboratory float test work.
  • •Develop and update dashboards and provide daily inputs and analysis of operational data to guide operations personnel.
  • •Conduct technical audits, propose and implement remedies for unit operations (e.g., Jameson/columns), and assist with mass balance and evaluation of test/plant data.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a degree or diploma in metallurgy or a relevant discipline acceptable for membership in the Engineering Institute of Zambia (Act No. 27 of 1992).
  • •Minimum 2 years of relevant plant-environment experience is desired.
  • •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience analyzing operational data.
  • •Experience conducting laboratory flotation test work and working in an operational environment is an advantage.
  • •Be computer literate (Microsoft).
