Key Responsibilities

•Lead critical production incidents by coordinating multi-disciplinary responses across Databricks’ cloud-based services to mitigate impact and restore operations.
•Drive technical root cause analysis and reliability improvements by tracing and documenting underlying causes across distributed systems, services, and data stores.
•Own incident communications, providing frequent internal updates and publishing accurate, timely, and empathetic customer-facing notifications.
•Summarize key learnings and ensure technical and procedural improvements are followed through after major incidents.
•Mentor and train peers in incident communication and technical response disciplines to improve the incident response program.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 103,900 - 145,525 annually

Key Requirements

•5+ years of experience in incident management, site reliability engineering, or production operations supporting large-scale, cloud-native systems.
•Proven ability to lead and coordinate high-severity incidents, including identifying impact, isolating fault domains, and managing multi-team response efforts.
•Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) across compute, networking, storage, and observability.
•Deep expertise in log analysis and debugging with familiarity in log aggregation/search tools (e.g., Datadog, Elasticsearch, Splunk, Cloud Logging, OpenTelemetry).
•Proficiency in at least one of Python, Go, or Bash for automating diagnostics, data collection, or analysis; plus incident playbook and communication template experience.
