Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist in defining RfP/tender technical requirements for Electrical/BoP, BESS Technology Provider, and Main SCADA, including reviewing tender feedback and interface boundaries.
  • •Support construction-phase design review by providing input on contractor technical submissions, governance of electrical ITP and commissioning plans, and technical support to Project Managers.
  • •Contribute to safety reviews (including HAZOPS) and participate in technical meetings with contractors.
  • •Monitor and verify electrical, BESS, and SCADA commissioning on site to ensure compliance with ITP and grid requirements, including attendance at FATs and review of operational test procedures.
  • •Support handover acceptance by reviewing commissioning documentation (procedures, test results, completion records), ensuring schedule/budget alignment, and helping transfer plant/sub-systems to operational staff.

Key Requirements

  • •4-6 years of engineering experience within the Renewable Energy sector.
  • •Demonstrable experience with safe systems of work, permit-to-work processes, and LOTO procedures.
  • •Previous commissioning engineer/commissioning manager experience on HV/LV electrical projects, including 11kV, 33kV, or EHV commissioning of switchgear, transformers, protection, metering, and SCADA systems.
  • •Knowledge of THE GRID CODE and EREC G99 electrical protection requirements for BESS capability and compliance testing.
  • •Ability to review electrical/electronic drawings, commissioning documentation, and contractor test reports (including electrical interface and governance).
