Job Summary

Build foundational data engineering for a new cloud Data Platform rollout in the US. You will design and develop ingestion pipelines from US local sources to Snowflake using dbt and SQL, ensure quality, reliability, and traceability via tests and GitLab CI/CD, and model datamarts in line with target data models. You’ll also map legacy sources to new models and document lineage and compliance for the data catalog.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as the local relay for architecture patterns, methodologies, standards, and best practices across data platform developments.
•Design and develop data pipelines from US local sources into Snowflake using dbt and SQL.
•Ensure data quality, reliability, and traceability through tests, documentation, and versioning with GitLab CI/CD.
•Model business datamarts according to target data models and structure transformations using dbt standards and Hermès conventions, including documentation and data catalog contributions.
•Map existing data sources to new models and handle definition/granularity gaps between source and target systems.

Key Requirements

•Master’s degree (Bac+5) in computer science, data engineering, applied mathematics, or equivalent.
•A first significant experience (long internship, work-study, or first assignment) in data engineering or analytics engineering.
•Advanced SQL and relational modeling best practices (Star/Snowflake schema).
•Experience with dbt (Core or Cloud) including models, tests, documentation, and macros.
•Knowledge of Snowflake (or equivalent cloud data warehouse) and GitLab CI/CD; Power BI is a plus.
