Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and maintain the new-propulsion technology roadmap (electric, hybrid, hydrogen) aligned to platform needs.
  • •Scout and benchmark technologies and suppliers, including motors, controllers/inverters, batteries, fuel cells, and hydrogen storage.
  • •Develop concepts and feasibility studies plus run trade studies on endurance, weight, power-to-weight, thermal management, packaging, cost, and safety.
  • •Perform powertrain modelling and mission/energy, thermal, and integration analysis using first-principles engineering and simulation tools.
  • •Design, build, and test demonstrators and bench rigs; coordinate test campaigns with the Test team and Powertech Italy facility, including instrumentation and data analysis.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s/PhD desirable in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Energy, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • •5+ years in propulsion or powertrain R&D with hands-on experience in electric, hybrid-electric, or hydrogen systems.
  • •Strong first-principles engineering, modelling, and prototyping ability.
  • •Ability to take a technology from concept through feasibility to a working demonstrator.
  • •English proficiency required for all roles unless otherwise stated in the job posting.
