Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct supplier selection for specific products using an approved supplier list.
  • •Develop and execute sourcing strategy, including supplier rationalisation, commodity pricing plans, and efficiency/cost principles.
  • •Drive development and consolidation of a manufacturing BOM, coordinating with Quality and Manufacturing to ramp production with suppliers and internally.
  • •Own NPI component procurement for on-time, correct readiness to scale manufacturing operations, including supplier CAPEX requests and verification.
  • •Lead cost engineering and cost issue management (e.g., tariffs/import-export costs, cost inflation) and perform supply network optimization via value-stream mapping and BOM risk assessment.

Key Requirements

  • •Background in design and development of mechanical and/or electronics devices.
  • •Experience with advanced sourcing activities, such as working as a commodity or sourcing manager.
  • •Supplier development and early supplier engagement ahead of product/engineering requirements.
  • •Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component and product level.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering (BSME, BSEE) or other related technical degree, and must be eligible to obtain an Australian NV1 clearance.
