Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee bridge construction elements (excavation, backfilling, compaction, cast-in-place concrete, precast elements, bearings, joints, rail, drainage, and incidental items).
  • •Interface with contractors, attend meetings, and report to the Resident Engineer (and periodically act as representative depending on experience).
  • •Mentor or supervise other inspectors on behalf of the Resident Engineer or project manager.
  • •Complete daily reports and measure/calculate unit price quantities.
  • •Coordinate independent material sampling and testing, monitor maintenance of traffic, and compile progress photographs; update red-line drawings using Bluebeam.
