Key Responsibilities

  • •Underwrite Personal Accident & Travel business in accordance with delegated underwriting authority.
  • •Support Underwriting Manager in achieving the business plan/budget.
  • •Provide quotations for renewals, new business, and alterations within delegated authority, referring internally or to carriers as required.
  • •Promote AonProtect products and services.
  • •Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and carriers while complying with Aon UK Risk Management Framework and policies, including mandatory training and risk management participation.

Key Requirements

  • •Ideally ‘A’ Level or above.
  • •Experience underwriting risks in an insurance company or MGA is desired (open to those keen to work in insurance without prior underwriting background).
  • •Strong technical knowledge of Accident and Health Markets is desired.
  • •Good organisational skills, with the ability to work proactively with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • •Excellent written and oral communication skills, numeracy/literacy, and the ability to achieve enquiry targets and build broker/carrier relationships.
