Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead vulnerability management by discovering, assessing, prioritizing, and remediating vulnerabilities across cloud, container, and host infrastructure.
  • •Own the end-to-end lifecycle of security scanning, including deployment, configuration, coverage expansion, policy tuning, upgrades, and ongoing optimization.
  • •Facilitate vulnerability assessments and analyze scan results to validate findings, reduce false positives, and provide actionable remediation guidance to engineering teams.
  • •Architect integration of vulnerability scanning into CI/CD pipelines with security gates, image policies, and automated checks to prevent vulnerable images from reaching production.
  • •Automate security triage and remediation orchestration, apply risk-based prioritization using threat intelligence, and track/report vulnerability metrics, SLAs, and trends while mentoring junior team members.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 2+ years with an advanced degree; or 0 years with a PhD; or 8+ years relevant experience.
  • •Significant hands-on vulnerability management, application security, or related security engineering experience with a strong development background.
  • •Strong proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and API integrations to streamline and scale security workflows.
  • •Deep experience with containers (Docker/image scanning and hardening/registry security) and strong working knowledge of Kubernetes (RBAC and misconfigurations).
  • •Extensive experience securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP), operating vulnerability scanning tools, and integrating security scanning into CI/CD tooling.
