Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform/coordinate field observations and special inspections of subsurface investigations in soils and rock.
  • •Perform geotechnical engineering design and analyses for bridges, buildings, tunnels, underground structures, and retaining walls under minimal supervision.
  • •Prepare/draft geotechnical memoranda, data reports, and design reports; assist task leaders with reports and Contract Documents.
  • •Perform/coordinate field observation and special inspection of geotechnical construction.
  • •Determine methods for collecting and analyzing site/soil/water/rock data (including surveys, blueprints, GIS, and subsurface utility information) and maintain quality control for accurate measurements and statistical analysis.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Geotechnical or Tunneling Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • •5 to 7 years of relevant experience.
  • •Extensive knowledge of geotechnical engineering and working knowledge of related disciplines (Structures, Civil, and/or Environmental).
  • •Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing proficiency.
  • •Proficiency with geotechnical/engineering design software (e.g., MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GeoSlope, Plaxis) and data tools; must be able and willing to travel for field work.
