Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide oversight with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from the site, surveys, blueprints, GIS data, maps, and other matrices for project development, design, and construction.
  • •Apply high-level professional civil and traffic engineering techniques to identify improvements for various project phases including concept development, preliminary design, final design, procurement, construction and operation.
  • •Perform professional traffic engineering work and conduct complex investigations and inspections of site conditions, roadways, intersections, signage, signals, pavement markings, and transportation corridors.
  • •Lead traffic engineering scope for NJDOT/NJTA/New Jersey County projects across CD, PE, FD, and construction phases.
  • •Develop and design innovative concepts for larger-scale intersection and corridor improvements, coordinating with authorities, sub-consultants, and clients.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or closely related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • •10+ years of relevant post education experience in engineering and traffic design.
  • •Professional Engineer’s (P.E.) license required in New Jersey, or the ability to obtain it within six months of hire.
  • •Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification required.
  • •Prior demonstrated knowledge and experience of NJDOT design standards and procedures and experience delivering NJTA, and/or New Jersey County transportation projects.
