Lead teams for NJDOT, NJTA, and county projects from concept through construction, defining QA/QC standards and delivery approaches, delivering risk-aware, future-ready transportation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide oversight with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from the site, surveys, blueprints, GIS data, maps, and other matrices for project development, design, and construction.
•Apply high-level professional civil and traffic engineering techniques to identify improvements for various project phases including concept development, preliminary design, final design, procurement, construction and operation.
•Perform professional traffic engineering work and conduct complex investigations and inspections of site conditions, roadways, intersections, signage, signals, pavement markings, and transportation corridors.
•Lead traffic engineering scope for NJDOT/NJTA/New Jersey County projects across CD, PE, FD, and construction phases.
•Develop and design innovative concepts for larger-scale intersection and corridor improvements, coordinating with authorities, sub-consultants, and clients.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or closely related discipline (or equivalent experience).
•10+ years of relevant post education experience in engineering and traffic design.
•Professional Engineer’s (P.E.) license required in New Jersey, or the ability to obtain it within six months of hire.
•Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification required.
•Prior demonstrated knowledge and experience of NJDOT design standards and procedures and experience delivering NJTA, and/or New Jersey County transportation projects.
