Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide personal financial counseling and management services to military service members and their families during surge, short-term, and on-demand coverage needs.
  • •Deliver one-on-one counseling, consultations, briefings/presentations, and referral resources related to personal financial services.
  • •Develop spending plans for extended absences and create/make available informational financial materials for service members and families.
  • •Coordinate, publicize, and conduct Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across military lifecycle events and respond to requests for age-appropriate seminars.
  • •Work with installation and military branch points of contact to ensure program scope, manage duty-to-warn situations, and participate in supervision and training/quality activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree required (or may consider associate degree with 4 years’ experience, or high school diploma with 6 years’ experience in lieu of a bachelor's).
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English (bilingual in English and Spanish if required by the contract).
  • •Be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation and pass the OCI (organizational conflicts of interest) process.
  • •Must hold AFC, CFP, or ChFC certification.
