Key Responsibilities

  • •Advise the client on cost strategies, vendor prequalification, proposal/bid assessment, bid levelling, and bid interview facilitation.
  • •Develop and present project estimates; review junior estimations; deliver value engineering recommendations and risk assessments.
  • •Establish reporting schedules and manage cost reporting/forecasting, including maintaining a commercial risk register and running periodic meetings.
  • •Support cost control through payment application review, recommendations on contractor entitlements, change order review and recommendations, and dispute prevention/management/resolution.
  • •Manage invoicing, final accounting, post contract audits/account close outs, and conduct post-contract reviews to capture lessons learned and drive handover procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a field related to construction.
  • •Minimum 3-5 years of relevant cost management experience in the construction industry.
  • •RICS accredited or working towards it is valuable.
  • •Experience supporting cost management on medium or large construction projects.
  • •Strong communication skills and good knowledge of procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.
