Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead business development and growth across the North East and wider UK market, pursuing new opportunities and maintaining key client relationships.
  • •Drive sector growth across contaminated land and remediation, energy transition and industrial decommissioning, and infrastructure and regeneration, including bid strategy and negotiation support.
  • •Provide client and project leadership as Project Director, with accountability for delivery, commercial performance, financial management, and risk governance.
  • •Lead, mentor, and develop teams within the Newcastle office and wider region, supporting recruitment, retention, capability development, and succession planning.
  • •Provide senior technical leadership and assurance as a subject matter expert in contaminated land, hydrogeology, or remediation, supporting innovation and continuous improvement.

Key Requirements

  • •A degree (and ideally postgraduate qualification) in environmental science, geology, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • •Chartered status with a relevant professional body.
  • •Significant experience in Ground & Water, contaminated land, or related consultancy services.
  • •Proven track record winning work and building client relationships.
  • •Experience delivering complex projects and leading teams, with strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management.
