Job Summary

Build and continuously optimize core live-streaming services for TikTok LIVE, including rooms, users, and leaderboards. Own reliability initiatives across complex multi-datacenter environments, contributing to disaster recovery design, monitoring improvements, and fault detection/recovery. Lead service architecture governance by identifying systemic risks and evolving engineering standards. Help drive AI-friendly architecture and data pipelines for next-generation infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, develop, and continuously optimize TikTok LIVE core services to improve system quality and engineering efficiency.
•Support stability initiatives including disaster recovery architecture design, monitoring enhancements, and fault detection/recovery.
•Drive service architecture governance by identifying systemic risks and pushing architecture evolution and engineering standards.
•Participate in AI-driven system architecture evolution by designing and developing AI-friendly service architectures and data pipelines.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, with solid foundations in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and networking.
•Proficient in at least one backend language (Go, Java, C++, or Python) and familiar with microservices and common software architecture patterns.
•Strong logical thinking and problem decomposition skills to independently analyze complex problems and drive resolution.
•Technical curiosity and a self-driven learning mindset with a fundamental understanding of systems.
•Good communication and collaboration skills with a strong sense of engineering ownership.
