Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the design and delivery of bridges, tunnels, interchanges, underpasses, retaining walls, and other transportation structures.
  • •Act as Design Lead/Discipline Lead, providing technical direction and quality assurance for engineering calculations, design reports, drawings, specifications, and submissions.
  • •Ensure compliance with local authority requirements, international codes, and project specifications, while driving innovation and value engineering.
  • •Manage technical project delivery from concept/preliminary design through detailed design and construction support; coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
  • •Serve as key client and stakeholder contact, representing WSP at design reviews and technical presentations and liaising with local authorities (including RTA and Dubai Municipality).

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering; Master's degree in Structural Engineering or Bridge Engineering is preferred.
  • •Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in bridge and tunnel design.
  • •Strong experience designing highway bridges, flyovers/interchanges, viaducts, underpasses, tunnel structures, retaining structures, and reinforced/prestressed concrete and steel structures.
  • •Experience with structural analysis and bridge design software, and working to AASHTO, Eurocodes, British Standards, and local authority requirements.
  • •Significant UAE experience (preferably Dubai), including RTA review and approvals; current or previous RTA Approval is highly desirable.
