Job Summary

Own the analytics function for MAG, the market-making and proprietary trading arm of Novig. Build and run end-to-end reporting and dashboards on a modern stack (Postgres, Redshift, dbt, Hex, Metabase) delivering daily P&L, intraday exposure visibility, auditable close snapshots, and lender covenant reporting. Lead analytics data plumbing for new venues and strategies, partner on backtesting/scenario analysis, and enable self-serve answers for GM and traders using AI-assisted workflows.

Key Responsibilities

•Build daily MAG P&L reporting and intraday dashboards with minute-cadence updates during event days, including attribution by trader, strategy, venue, league, and bet type.
•Own the dbt layer powering downstream reporting with versioning, testing, documentation, and audit trails aligned to firewall requirements.
•Produce auditable monthly close-period snapshots and lender-facing covenant reporting packages in partnership with Novig.
•Build data plumbing for onboarding new venues, traders, and strategies using normalized feeds, attribution, P&L slicing, and risk views.
•Partner with the GM on backtesting and scenario analysis and create self-serve analytics for recurring GM/trader questions without needing you in the loop.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 160,000 - 190,000 annually

Key Requirements

•4 to 6 years in analytics engineering with strong SQL and dbt.
•Fluency with Hex or Metabase and ability to model position vs. P&L (realized vs. unrealized).
•Experience delivering analytics for financial services or trading, including comfort with fees, slippage, and attribution.
•Ability to serve as the sole analytics owner in a lean, senior firm and communicate clearly with GM, traders, and engineers.
•AI-native development mindset using LLM tooling as a force multiplier for shipping work at pace.
