Job Summary

Lead development efforts in Cadence’s Modus DFT software stack, delivering reliable, high-performance C/C++ tools for DFT/ATPG in a Unix multi-threaded environment. You’ll analyze customer issues, implement features, and mentor peers while contributing to large-scale EDA projects and research-driven engineering in a collaborative team.

Job Function: Software Engineering

Key Responsibilities

•Provide R&D support for application and product engineers addressing customer problems and requests, including problem analysis, debugging, and feature development to improve synthesis results (timing, area, power)
•Conduct analysis and debugging to develop reliable, scalable features for Modus DFT software
•Develop tools in C/C++ to support DFT and ATPG in a Unix multi-threaded environment
•Collaborate with architecture, hardware, and software teams to find efficient software solutions for large-scale projects
•Mentor and support colleagues to contribute to the EDA problem domain and grow professional software engineering skills

Key Requirements

•BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Computer Science or related field
•Strong C/C++ development experience for DFT/ATPG in Unix environments and multi-threaded programming
•Experience with data structures and algorithms; proficient in C++11/14+
•Knowledge of Tcl is preferred; experience with language compilers
•Experience with large software development projects and mentoring others
