Key Responsibilities

  • •Review lab dips, sales samples, first bulk, trims, and subsequent dye lots (if needed) in a light box on a daily basis.
  • •Ensure consistency across lab dips, sales samples, first bulk and subsequent bulk lots and trims.
  • •Operate spectrophotometer equipment to measure subsequent bulk lots in support of QA teams; compare visual judgment to spectral data.
  • •Manage color standard uploads/updates and track lab dip update and approval status with the US Color Team; maintain filing and the color standard database.
  • •Conduct Munsell 100 hue tests and ensure proper use of the Color Approval process on Info center, including training suppliers.

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years of related professional experience.
  • •Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) with strong written and oral communication skills.
  • •Knowledge of color physics, fabric properties, and dyeing/finishing processes.
  • •Familiarity with spectrophotometers; formal training and a Data color or Gretag Macbeth (X-rite) certificate is an advantage.
  • •Good color vision, including attainment of a standard level in Farnsworth–Munsell 100–Hue Test is an advantage.
