Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise the LWD process on-site, including tool preparation, data acquisition, log generation, and QC.
  • •Assist in ensuring customer-delivered data is accurate, timely, and meets service quality standards; provide expected data and potential issues to customers.
  • •Provide technical consultation to clients on mud hydraulics, BHA planning, formation evaluation, drilling tendencies, mud system, and BHA dynamics.
  • •Test tools and equipment before, during, and after each job; identify and correct operational problems to prevent or minimize service impact.
  • •Accurately complete required forms, databases, and reports, and ensure BHA assembly matches planned specifications including make-up torque, doping, and handling.

Key Requirements

  • •Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of three months of field experience in M/LWD.
  • •Completion of the basic M/LWD training program and successful completion of company tests (or met task guideline requirements).
  • •Ability to demonstrate technical aptitude to required standards and good communication, arithmetic, data entry, and recording skills.
  • •Ability to read and interpret formation well logs and interpret directional survey information and other well site data.
  • •Possess relevant on- and offshore safety certificates; bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline is preferred.
