Key Responsibilities

  • •Promote and follow plant safety guidelines and perform instrumentation work safely.
  • •Maintain, calibrate, and perform trouble analysis on process control instrumentation to support optimum production efficiency.
  • •Install, maintain, and calibrate process control equipment including flow meters, thermocouples, RTDs, transmitters, drives, and emissions analyzers.
  • •Maintain instrument logbooks, and ensure process control data is recorded, backed up, and archived.
  • •Perform maintenance and new construction installation on existing and new instrumentation equipment, including inspecting and PM of key cement plant equipment.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • •Two years of college/technical school/service training in instrumentation and electronic technology or four years of related field experience as an instrumentation technician.
  • •Knowledge of electronics, computers, basic operating systems software (Microsoft Server, Windows XP & Windows 7, and MS Office), process analyzers, and electrical controls.
  • •Knowledge of electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, chemistry, physics, and fluid dynamics.
  • •Ability to read operating manuals, blueprints, and schematics; good English communication; strong safety mindset; PPE use; ability to be on call 24/7 as needed.
