Job Summary

Senior Data Engineer at Ultra Tendency will design, implement, and maintain scalable data solutions using the Databricks Lakehouse Platform (Apache Spark and Delta Lake). You will collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and architects to build production-grade data pipelines for analytics, ML, and BI, optimize workloads, and mentor junior teammates in a global, open-source–driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks Lakehouse Platform (Apache Spark, Delta Lake).
•Develop and optimize batch and streaming data workflows supporting analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence applications.
•Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and architects to translate business and data requirements into reliable production data solutions.
•Improve performance and cost efficiency of Databricks data processing workloads.
•Contribute to knowledge sharing and mentor junior engineers within a global, open-source–oriented culture.

Key Requirements

•Databricks and Apache Spark (PySpark or Scala) hands-on experience.
•Experience building data platforms on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
•Strong understanding of distributed data processing, data modeling, and performance optimization.

•Knowledge of orchestration frameworks such as Airflow or Databricks Workflows; excellent English/Japanese communication.
