Key Responsibilities

  • •Adhere to safety and environmental rules and articulate SERA considerations in strategic assessments.
  • •Develop a comprehensive understanding of Teck’s North American assets and projects.
  • •Build and apply detailed financial models to assess input/output quality, identify value and risk drivers, and evaluate sensitivities to key assumptions.
  • •Provide economic analyses and support negotiation strategies and internal investment decisions, collaborating with functional groups including Joint Ventures, Operations, Project Development, Legal, and Finance.
  • •Support decision-making by preparing information packages and North America Unit materials for senior leadership and investment committees, including joint venture governance and strategic initiative workplans.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 122,000 - 150,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Geosciences, Geology, Mining, Processing, Engineering, Finance or Sciences is required.
  • •Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in a mining analytical role (or equivalent combination of experience and education).
  • •Financial modeling expertise to develop and interpret financial models with a strong understanding of business drivers.
  • •Requires use of MS 365 Suite (Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, etc.).
  • •Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact with senior management, partners, and stakeholders; project management skills to coordinate multidisciplinary groups.
