Job Summary

Support rail construction projects with the PMCM team while working on-site at 800 Broadway in Brooklyn. Assist the project/client management team by reviewing shop drawings, checking designs and drawings, performing daily inspections, preparing inspection reports, and coordinating site activities across trades. Track punchlists and construction progress, monitor contractor/subcontractor usage, and provide technical support as needed, including night/weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist the project manager/client management team as directed.
•Review shop drawings and provide engineering support during construction, including checking designs and drawings.
•Provide technical guidance and direction to support staff, contractors, and vendors when required.
•Perform daily rail construction inspections, prepare daily inspection reports, and ensure overall contract compliance.
•Coordinate site activities with other trades, monitor workforce performance against the work plan, and complete/track punchlists.

Key Requirements

•0-2 years of experience in railroad construction.
•Knowledge of ballast, ties, rail structure, and related construction methods, materials, standards, and construction documents.
•Knowledge of typical structural steel repairs and experience reviewing shop drawings.
•Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
•Ability to pass safety training and work within applicable codes, standards, and safety/environment guidelines.
