Key Responsibilities

  • •Own, drive, and lead the renewals process for the Japan market to preserve and improve customer contracts and relationships.
  • •Engage key decision-makers to understand requirements, demonstrate Asana value, uncover roadblocks, and ensure on-time renewals.
  • •Negotiate and execute renewal contracts in partnership with Finance and Legal.
  • •Manage at-risk customers with prescriptive churn-mitigation strategies, communicate renewal risk, and escalate resolution strategies where appropriate.
  • •Maintain a 90–120-day rolling forecast and track outcomes (e.g., Renewal Rate, Net Retention Rate, renewal attainment, expansion), keeping renewal data accurate in Salesforce and other systems.

Key Requirements

  • •2–5 years of experience in customer-facing SaaS roles such as software/subscription renewals, account management, sales, customer success, or Deal Desk.
  • •Experience managing commercial negotiations, discovery, value selling, and closing with a track record of achieving targets.
  • •Business-level fluency in Japanese and English.
  • •Comfort working with technology and business systems such as Salesforce and other SaaS tools.
  • •Strong organizational and time-management skills with clear written and verbal communication, able to manage a book of business effectively.
