Job Summary

Join Thales in Ulm as a calibration and measurement specialist. You will conduct match/hotmatch selections and Time-Domain measurements on traveling-wave and microwave tubes, monitor measurement sequences, provide parts per manufacturing specs, support improvements and programming for measurements, and perform calibration and maintenance on-site in a collaborative, high-tech environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Monitor measurement sequences and, if necessary, interrupt them
•Provide parts and materials as well as process the product according to manufacturing instructions
•Contribute to improvements and optimizations and develop and maintain programs for various measurements
•Mechanically machine small parts to optimize electrical measurements
•Coordinate with relevant interfaces regarding deviations or needs and align accordingly
•Troubleshoot and repair process disruptions at the workstation including calibration
•Perform minor repair and maintenance tasks including calibration

Key Requirements

•Completed vocational training in electronics, metrology or mechanics with initial work experience
•Experience in measuring traveling-wave tubes and microwave tubes is advantageous
•Understanding of general technology, metrology and operation of PNA
•SAP knowledge is advantageous
•Lean management and Kanban knowledge desirable
