Key Responsibilities

  • •Create and implement a business development strategy to drive new business for a targeted client base.
  • •Develop new investment management relationships with UHNW individuals, families, and businesses.
  • •Take a consultative approach to estate planning benefits, using knowledge of wealth transfer and tax planning strategies.
  • •Build internal and external networks to identify opportunities and showcase Northern Trust capabilities to community members, clients, and professional advisors.
  • •Manage transitions of ongoing client contact and account management to the appropriate internal teams to enhance and expand relationships.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of sales and relationship management experience, preferably with wealth management clients.
  • •A strong network of Centers of Influence (attorneys, estate planning professionals, CPAs) for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families.
  • •Knowledge of fiduciary capabilities and services, including personal/living trusts, wills, investment management, custody, financial consulting, and estate/tax planning, including fee structures and documentation.
  • •Ability to profile a client’s financial landscape and determine how to advise across the full span of wealth management capabilities.
  • •Series 7 and 63 licenses are required; CFP, CFTA, CFA, and CIMA are strongly preferred.
