Key Requirements

  • •Minimum one year of service as an active or retired law enforcement officer, corrections officer, or military service member.
  • •Minimum one year as an armed security officer in good standing, plus an Associate degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice.
  • •Active driver’s license and physical fitness to walk building patrols.
  • •Minimum high school graduate (or equivalent) and graduation from a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) in eligible fields.
