Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide architectural leadership for services and solutions within Insurance service domains, leveraging business domain experience in Insurance and other financial services products, balancing long-term strategic objectives with immediate business needs
  • •Collaborate with senior stakeholders across business analysts, product owners, testing teams, and technical experts to craft clear solution proposals and facilitate agreements
  • •Define strategies for enterprise-level foundational platforms and target future state, understanding current technological landscapes and anticipating trends
  • •Understand insurance distribution models (bancassurance, agency, broker, 3rd partnership) and how they influence solution design beyond HSBC banking
  • •Develop architecture and technology roadmaps for capabilities across the Hong Kong market and ensure alignment with HSBC goals and future development

Key Requirements

  • •Possess sound knowledge of artificial intelligence, including its applications and potential impact on business operations
  • •Experienced in enterprise environments, with a comprehensive understanding of traditional and modern processes and procedures, and their impact on digital transformation, and within an Insurance company
  • •In-depth functional and non-functional knowledge of cloud platforms and native services, specifically AWS or GCP, designing architectures that leverage their strengths
  • •Understanding of modern development practices, tooling, integration, technology, patterns, and practices to design, build, and continuously improve automated software delivery factories
  • •Experienced in leveraging a modern SDLC toolchain including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated configuration, and provisioning at scale
  • •Familiar with microservice architectures and possess in-depth knowledge of container-based services like Docker and Kubernetes
