Job Summary

Lead client-facing cost management on real estate projects in Harare, from feasibility through cost planning, procurement, tendering and post-contract delivery. Drive cost control using digital tools, interfacing with consultants and clients across sectors including city centre developments, manufacturing, logistics and residential schemes.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead pre- and post-contract duties including preparation of cost estimates, procurement and tendering, contract administration, variation, final account, etc.
•Complete feasibility studies and perform estimating and cost planning to produce and present the final cost plan.
•Manage tendering and procurement activities, including pre-qualification, tender list creation, preliminaries, tender analysis and compiling contract documents.
•Take responsibility for timely and accurate financial reporting and valuations; interface with client and other consultants at all project stages.
•Contribute to post-contract cost variances, change control processes and value engineering; support development of junior staff.

Key Requirements

•A degree in Quantity Surveying or relevant degree is required. Full membership of the RICS (MRICS) or other is preferred.
•Experience leading pre- and post-contract duties including preparation of cost estimates, procurement and tendering, contract administration, variations and final accounts.
•Ability to complete feasibility studies and perform cost planning, including producing and presenting the final cost plan.
•Proven tendering and procurement experience, including managing pre-qualification, tender lists, preliminaries, tender analysis and contract documents.
•Strong communication and negotiation skills with a commercially aware, team-oriented approach.
